I’ve been in Israel one month today – in fact, almost to the minute. What a month! – old friends, new friends, interviews, and lots and lots of HEAT and humidity in Tel Aviv. So much has happened, in fact, that it is hard to believe it has only been 30 days.
But it all stops for a few days now – tonight begins Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. As I’ve walked around the past few days I’ve seen everything in preparation – gifts, foods, etc. [In fact, I need to run out and get a few things before the markets all close until Saturday night/Sunday morning]. I’m looking forward to a few good meals with family/friends, and a few days of rest to bring in the new year.
And for all of you for whom Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning/end of a cycle – may you have a sweet, productive, and healthy new year. Shana tova – Love,
