For those of you who haven’t been keeping track, Sonya passed the 9 month mark this past week. The poor girl was sick with a stomach bug recently and seemed to hit the “pause” button on her development…but somehow these past few days she rallied, and we have a whole new girl!
She talks!! (and smiles and is excited to see us)
She crawls! (straight to all of Alon’s toys and other things she shouldn’t play with)
She eats! (lots and lots and lots and lots)
She’s got awesome hair!
And only about 5 months after most kids do, she finally doubled her birth weight. We are quite pleased 🙂
In other news, you may be aware that we’ve had a little snow in the Boston area. (No? You didn’t hear?). It’s kept us inside most of the last month or so, but Neil shoveled out a sledding area for Alon and the two of them shoveled out a small fort this afternoon. Alon had a blast (he’s got his dad’s cold genes…brrrrr!) Take a look:

How lovely to see how Sonya’s growing and coming more and more into her own. Those delicious sounds…..what a joy! And Alon is, in my unbiased opinion, just a wonder to watch….even from afar. So good to see the guys outside enjoying a snowy adventure. Personally, I’m ready for some warmer temps and melting mountains of snow. They’re enjoying the winter bounty more than some of us, for sure.
